SAFEGUARD system of land, surface and underwater real-time monitoring for people and anchorages in the computing cloud
SAFEGUARD develops innovative actions in the field of supporting the safety of workers and monitoring for the protection of aquaculture facilities (anchorages and production facilities), aiming at innovative solutions based on Aquaculture 4.0 standards, using new technologies of underwater, marine and coastal surveillance and in accordance with the European rules of personal data protection while maintaining the privacy of employees and the prevailing ethics.

Purpose of the project
This project aims to develop innovative procedures and practices in the field to support the safety of the workers and monitoring for the protection of coastal aquaculture facilities (moorings and sea cages), targeting innovative solutions integrated into the Aquaculture 4.0 standards, using new technologies of underwater and marine monitoring and in parallel in accordance with European rules on the protection of personal data, while preserving workers’ prevailing ethics.
Cardioprotective properties of sea bream fed with a polar lipid fraction isolated from oil production by-products.

The research data to date prove that it is possible to produce and use new fish feed by replacing part of the fish oils with oil production by-products. Furthermore, the modified fish feed affects the micronutrient composition of the fish produced.
Purpose of the project:
The main objective of the project is the production of a farmed bream fed with a fraction of polar lipids isolated from oil production by-products, the consumption of which leads to a significantly improved cardiometabolic profile of consumers. Individual objectives of the program are:
- a) development of a method for the production of fish feed enriched with the fraction of polar lipids, isolated from the by-products of oil production,
- b) enrichment process of farmed bream with the fraction of polar lipids.
